A football referee game you can actually play

This referee simulator online puts you on the pitch rather than in charge of a striker or a club. Two teams play around you, and your job is to follow the action, watch important incidents and decide what should happen next. The game combines movement with timed decisions. A useful position helps you see the play, while the decision screen asks you to choose a call instead of simply watching the match unfold.

Load the game above to begin. It runs in this page, with no Copero registration or separate installation. The game is supplied by GameMonetize and may show its own advertisements. Its menus currently offer English and Turkish; this page provides the English controls and guide. Copero hosts the surrounding page, while fix games is credited as the game’s developer. Allow the game a moment to appear before pressing its menu buttons.

Start your referee career

Choose New career from the game’s opening screen. The setup lets you create a referee and adjust their appearance before starting. You can leave the name field empty rather than entering personal information. The career screen shows your current referee level, experience, fitness and next fixture. Choose Play match to take the field. How to play is available in the game if you want to review the controls first.

A normal match contains eight key incidents, with nine described for derbies and finals. You do not have to sit through a real ninety-minute match. Play moves between the situations that need your attention. Watch the match clock, incident count and fitness display to understand where you are. After each decision, read the explanation and choose Continue. The final incident leads to Finish match and an assessor report.

Movement and controls on computer or phone

On a computer, use WASD or the arrow keys to move your referee. Shift lets you sprint, and the mouse selects decisions and menu controls. Escape pauses the game. Click inside the game first if keyboard movement is not responding, since your browser may still be focused on this guide or another control. Staying near the ball gives you a clearer view than watching from a distant part of the pitch.

On a phone, drag on the left side of the game to run and push farther to sprint. Tap the decision buttons when they appear. Keep your touch within the game area when moving, and release before choosing a call. Landscape orientation can give you more space to read the pitch. Larger view expands the player where your browser supports it; use Exit larger view or your browser’s fullscreen controls to return.

Read the incident before choosing a call

The decision screen describes the situation and presents the relevant options. You may need to judge a challenge, decide whether a goal should stand, distinguish a penalty from a free kick, or choose a disciplinary response. Other incidents involve handball, restarts and players who have already been booked. Read the whole prompt, since the location, timing and earlier events can matter as much as the visible contact.

There is a countdown when a decision is required. If it expires, the game records that you ran out of time and explains the incident before you continue. Making an immediate guess is not always helpful either: notice the available options and use a review when the situation allows it. This is an entertainment game with its own feedback, not a referee qualification, an official rules examination or advice for officiating a real match.

Use the VAR replay when it is available

The in-game instructions give the referee two self-requested VAR reviews per match. Goals, penalties, straight red cards and mistaken identity are described as reviewable situations. VAR may also call you to the monitor after a clear error. The Go to VAR button appears when a review is available; it is not an unlimited replay button for every incident. Check the remaining review count before using another one.

During a review, the controls offer different camera views, a playback button, a timeline and slower playback speeds. An offside review can include an offside-line view alongside the main camera, a bird’s-eye view and a reverse angle. Choose the view that makes the relevant moment easiest to read. A different angle can clarify a close position without changing the incident itself. After reviewing, choose your final call using the buttons below the replay.

Understand the explanation and assessor report

After a call, the game tells you whether it was correct and gives an incident-specific explanation. Read that explanation before moving on. It can identify the detail you missed, rather than merely replacing your answer with a score. The feedback also separates the decision from positioning and, where shown, a quick-decision bonus. A good location does not automatically make the judgment correct, and a correct judgment is still worth reviewing.

At the end of the match, the assessor report includes your match rating, correct-call count, average distance, VAR usage and pressure. It lists the individual incidents so you can see where the match went well or badly. Career experience and warnings provide a reason to return for another fixture. Your first result is a starting point for learning the game, not a ranking against professional referees or a guarantee about your next match.

Continue playing and deal with loading problems

Use the game’s Next match or Main menu controls after the report. Returning through those controls keeps you within the game’s own career flow. Reload game, above the player, restarts the embedded page and asks for confirmation first because an unfinished match may be interrupted. Cancel that confirmation if you only meant to pause. When a saved career is available, use Continue in the game rather than creating another career.

Progress depends on the game’s browser storage being available. Private browsing, storage restrictions, clearing site data or changing devices can affect what the game remembers. Copero does not provide an account-based backup for this embedded game. If the player stays blank, check your connection, allow a little loading time and use Reload game once. An unavailable game service or blocked content cannot be repaired by repeatedly pressing the load button.

Looking for Pro Referee Simulator?

The game on this page is Referee Simulator 3D by fix games. It is a separate football referee game, not Peynir Games’ Pro Referee Simulator on Poki. Both names can appear when you search for referee games, but their careers, controls and scoring should not be assumed to match. If your goal is to run with play, inspect a VAR replay and make decisions in a browser, this page offers that experience directly.

More football decisions on Copero

For a different role, try the football manager career simulator, where your decisions shape a fictional club across seasons. To create a player and follow their path to retirement, return to the Copero football career simulator. You can also browse all Copero games for football knowledge puzzles and other challenges. These are separate games; a referee career or result does not transfer between them.

Questions before you take the whistle

Is Referee Simulator 3D free to play?

Yes. Load it in the player above without paying Copero, creating a Copero account or downloading an app. The third-party game may display advertisements.

Is this the original Pro Referee Simulator?

No. This is Referee Simulator 3D by fix games, supplied through GameMonetize. Pro Referee Simulator by Peynir Games is a different title.

Can I play on a phone?

The game supports touch movement and decision buttons. Drag on the left side to move, and tap to decide. Landscape or Larger view can give you more room.

Why does a wrong decision still give positioning points?

The feedback reports decision accuracy and positioning separately. Read the incident explanation to understand the call, then check the final assessor report for the overall result.

Reload the game?

This restarts the game page and may interrupt your current match. Use the game’s own pause or menu controls to keep playing.
